Got a new problem now.. Went out and started motor right up. Great! Idled fine, put in gear died. Started again put in gear died.. did this several times.. starts right back up. I finaly put in gear and nailed it. It came out SLOW!!!. Never got over 48000 . ran about 45mph. After a min it started lossing power, then gained... Then like a plug kicked in , you could hear it rev up. Never got to where it usalay runs though. Went home pull all plugs and looked at them. On left bank as you lok at it from rear, top to bottom. Top plug looked great, Mid plug a little wet.. piston also a little wet. Bottom Plug Black as if someone splashed oil on it.. Piston Wet!!! Right Bank All plugs Great Good burn and clean pistons... I was thinking Plugs, but these are new. Also Coils???? What about carbs???
Model # J200PLSSC Johnson..
Thanks For Help, meant to tell you that I found a bad oil line before.. small crack.. Thanks You'll are Great....Davey C.

Re: WHATS HAPPENING????

Davey....let's see if we got good spark to all the cylinders first and go from there. A carboned up plug usually means either poor spark or a fuel rich mix getting to the cylinder. Let's go for the easy stuff first like spark. Check compression lately? Would not be a bad idea either.

Re: WHATS HAPPENING????

If spark and compression check out I'd say its time for carb overhauls. All your plugs should be slightly wet with oil.
