When I got this boat it only came with a bill of sale. It has no hull number, all that I have is a serial number. Is there any way I can find out what year it is? Thanks everyone, great group here.

My old Chrysler Hydra Vee will be sold next spring when the prices are up. Very old photo that I up loaded when I was able too post photos.. I have tried but I guess that I am using an old browser. I would be more them happy to post photo's of my project. The Serial Number is 1023327. Other info from the tag; 18 foot Super Sport V O/B. I agree with you all, The StarCraft is a better boat, thus the reason I bought her. lol.

I have found out that it's a 1972. The StarCraft group on FB asked me to post picks and I did. They posted one from the factory, same color, Bimini top, everything. I noticed that facebook had resized my photo even smaller, 23.2 kilobytes! That's small. Tried posting that pic here, same results. Tried posting using my cell phone, same results.

Based on the S/N, 1973-74. My little table stops at 1972 and 1007334.
Pics will help.

Thank you for your reply DL North. I just wish that I could post photo's of my project. Using my computer or even my cell phone I get the message of "unknown Error". My cell phone is new. When you can't upload a 23.2 kilobyte photo (jpeg) something is wrong with the site.

I'm in the Starcraft aluminum boat FB group, I dropped out of the other one, too many guys there that have issues with their knowledge about tin boats and give bad info.

I found it pretty easy. Hit the underlined A top right, copy the image adrress and then hit the photo button on the left and paste into the URL line... 70 - 72 Offshore or SS, not sure of the name break for the year.

Yes Sir that's it! I have the transom out and getting ready to put in the new one. I cut it out of marine 3/4 plywood, and have bonded the 2 pieces together using titebond 3. I haven't been able to post photo's but, I have read how you did your own boat. It's a SS, that is on the BIA tag along with the serial number. The transom needed replacing because after the owner passed away, his Son left the outboard up for 12 years! The 1972 Mercury 140HP didn't have tilt on it, He had a "PowrTran" (spelled correctly) This unit stuck about 6 inches from the transom and didn't have much of a foot print on the boat. The weight of everything had warped the wood. Thank you Watermann!

What drain tubes has everyone used for the splash well? Mine are 1" OD diameter. I would like to use the nylon tubes. Any links to where to get them? The marine stores around me have nothing so I'll be ordering them online.
