hello i just got this boat and the guy gave me a 50 hp force motor i need to find out what year it is can someone plz tell me how to find this out

There should be an id tag on the transom bracket.
They often fall off or are unreadable.
If it is from the '80's, it should say US Marine on it.
If it is from the 90's it should say Mercury or Brunswick.
if the id tag is intact, post the model number and serial number here.
If you can, post a photo of the ignition and fuel pump.
