What year Yami??? 99' or 00'

if you guys would'nt mind looking at the pictures above and tell me what you think of this boat maybe an est value? i know the boat has been well taken care of, it is my father's boat.

its a 99' Sail Fish 20' with Finder/Gps and VHF

ive been told the motor is actually a 00' the original motor had a manufacture defect and was replaced by the dealer with a 00'. my father is very maticulous and i know hes taken very good care of this boat.

can't tell '99 or '00 without model number...the last letter for a '99 would be X and an '00 would be Y8)

Not wishing to chuck a spanner in the works but my yamaha year codes make a 1999 a U and a 2000 a T.

just out of interest zzzzz I have a W which i make a 1997 what would your codes make it.

in the US market a U is a 96 model,T is 95,X is 99 and Y is 2000 and a W is a 98.
the international markets are a bit different.

Well I stand corrected, sorry
Why would they use different year codes for different makes that must make it confusing for exported engines.
