What year the Yamaha 140HP is?

Hello,<br />Does anybody know the year of the 140HP Yamaha, number 140 BET 6F3 521088? The problem is that US Yamaha couldn’t tell, because… this model was not sold in the USA . Well, shouldn’t they know, anyway?! I hope some of knowledgeable people here will! Thanks.

Anyone, please? The serial number is 140BET 6F3 L 521088 to be exact, I think 'L' stands for long shaft. Thanks.
