The serial # is 01501-720562. It's a long shaft.<br /><br />The best I can tell is it is between a 1986-88 but I'm unsure.

Yes that is a 1987.<br />The 7 in the serial number tells you that.<br />The 7 could also mean 1977, (1987) or 1997, but the colour narrow it down to 1987.
