What year model is my motor?

How can I find out what year model my 35 hp<br />Evinrude is? I bought it used do not know<br />what year model it is.

There is a frost plug inside the motor with the model and ser. no. on it. With this we can tell.<br /><br />corm

I cant seem to locate a freeze plug, does it look like an automotive freeze plug?

yes sort of dose. It is AL,about 1/2" in dia.<br />If the tag on the stern clamps is missing maybe the inside one is also.<br />We may get close with color and hood material.<br /><br />corm

The hood is light blue on top, the rest is <br />white, with dark blue in the center of the <br />white area. The words Evinrude is in the dark<br />blue area. It appears to be made of fiberglass. I found what could be the freeze<br />plug with the #324319 D2. I do not know if that is the model # or a part #.
