How can I find the year of my 25horse merc ob?<br /><br />The lower unit is leaking fluid from around where the prop comes out. How can I fix. Can I run it?<br /><br />Thanks in advance.

might not actually be leaking oil -- could be exhaust residue/unburned fuel. If it's black, it probably isn't gearcase oil.
