what year is this motor?

I just bought a mercury shortshaft 110 9.8hp, was told its a 78 but have nothing to comfirm that, the serial number is 3363604, can anyone confirm that this motor is indeed a 78??

110 (11,0) 3263263 - 3482752 1972 2 cyl <br /><br />I dont see any 9.8HP with your serial number. I could be wrong??
