Evinrude serial number TE40ELESR<br />Model Number G 02562721<br /><br />What year is it? Oil/Gas ratio?<br />Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

It's a 1990 model 40 hp and the fuel /oil mix is 50:1.Use TCW3 two cycle oil.

First thing I would recommend is that you obtain a service manual and remove and clean the carbs.They will likely have some tarnish or gummy deposits in porting that will need to be cleaned.The manual will be able to walk you through the steps if you are not familiar with the procedure as well as several other items that will need to be adressed before running engine.Lower unit oil,prelubing cylinder walls before cranking,etc.
