What year is my motor? Also I need a new trim motor but have a question?
I got a 115 mariner and the trim is not working. 0C260176 serial number. It has two solenoids for the trim. Does that mean it does not have relays? I had my kid trim up and down and both wires going to the trim pump light up my test light when she hits the button going up and down. I also noticed that each solenoid lights up the trim pump wire whether you’re going up or down with the button. when she heads trim up shouldn’t only one of the wires get power. It seems that when she hits up or down all the solenoids are reacting. This trim pump has a negative wire coming from it also. So there is 3 wires coming from the pump. I’m new to this. Solenoids work similar to a relay so I was wondering if since it has solenoids two of them one for up one for down that may be it doesn’t use relays?
