My serial # is A174331. I believe I seized it yesterday. I have rebuilt one other 2 stroke engine, which came out of a jet ski. Is it worth re-building, or would it be more economical to buy a remanufactured powerhead? Thank you for your help!
This should be a 1986 year model. The bad news is this is a chrome bore motor and cannot be bored if cylinder walls are damaged. The only way to repair is : (1) Send to US Chrome and have rechromed or (2) Have a sleeve installed and bored to standard (3) Find used block (4) Get a new style Mercosil block kit(about $670.00) (5) Go to new 4 stroke 25 (most happy)
