What year is my Merc?

I have purchased a Merc 3.5 recently. The serial # is 46171. I was wondering what year it is and the carb size. The carb are Mikuni. Thanks All, FE

Looks like you are missing some numbers. Merc made the 3.5 for three years. 1983-85
