What year is my Mariner? 15hp

I tried to interpolate the year charts for Mariner but none of them have CS in the model # like mine does. Its 15M 684 CS 022452

It is a 15C engine and comes up as:

15M 684-017041 beginning s/n 1982 and 684-023806, beginning s/n 1983. therefore, yours is a 1982.

Ok thank! Need to pull the carb off of it, motor got sunk. Looks good for a 1982! what is the difference between 15C and 15M?
