Yup. 1963 Lightwin 3HP.

Uses a 24:1 mix, Champion J4C plugs at .030" and points at .020.

In spite of the fact that the seller either hasn't a clue or is a big liar that is (was) one of the best little sweethearts ever made.

Without an on-the-water demo I would be a little shy at $250, but with a good demo I might be persuaded to go $200.

Hit him with the real age. Maybe he will un-firm the price.

That is funny about the real age of the motor. It reminds me of a time back in 1981. I met a guy at a neighboring cottage to my friend. He was proud of his just purchased late model "1976" Mercury. I'll give you a clue, the Mercury was painted white, making it a 1963 at the newest. :D

I have to agree, the old 3s are a great little motor
