what weight of 2stroke-models 9.9 and 15 hp

hi.I'm wondering about weight of Jo/Ev.How much can weighr, 2 stoke, and 9.9 and 15 hp models.

The 1998 model year 9. 9 and 15 2C tiller motors weighed as follows:

RE, EE, BA 72 Lbs
RL, EL 77 Lbs
Add 4 Lbs for Electric Start

do you know why one weighs more than the other???


I thought they were the same except for the carb..and a 15 hp carb cant weigh 5 lbs more than a 9.9 carb..



dont tell me the lettering on the 15 weighs more than the 9.9's!!!


I waited to find a 15 for a kicker, because if i was going to put on a set amount of weight, i wanted the most hp...

RL (for instance) is a long shaft; the 5 inch extension parts do have weight.
