I have not seen OMC Type "B" Gear Grease. Is there an alternative? I have a 1960 60 HP Sea King. I have been told it is a 50 HP upper and 75 HP lower unit for that year. It is not an electrical shift. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can use either one of the Johnson and Evinrude UltraHPf or the HiVis gear oils.

Older Mercs and Yamahas use 90 weight, not OMC's. Their oil is a different blend, is lighter than a 90W, and the UltraHPf is semi-synthetic
