We recently purchased a Crest pontoon boat that had been vandalized. They took the motor and throttle control shifter. We acquired a 1998 Force 90 hp and mounted that on it. The throttle control cables are have the following info stamped on them: Quicksilver F 12ft JAN0297 My question is what type of shifter should we purchase ? It appears the old shifter was a top mount model based on the hole in the console on the right side of the steering wheel from where the old one was. Will a single lever / dual function shifter work ok ? Does it need to be a Quicksilver model based on the type of cables that are there ?
