Hi everyone

I've been absent from I-boats forums for a while now - no boat - but am thinking of buying rather a nice classic - an Offshore 535 by Isaac Workboats of UK. :)

It's powered by a contemporary Johnson V6 150GT and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of these engines and what points to look out for when buying?

Are they reliable ?? Economical ?? What about spares ?? or would I be better forgetting about authenticity and investing in a new Mariner of the same HP ??

John

Need more specifics than "contemporary", John.

New Mariner?? Didn't know they were still being made. Anyway the 150Gt is everything you want it to be except economical.
