Re: what to look for

First thing I think of is one that still has all the control cables, steering and wiring intact. Also, look at boats that still have an engine but it is blown up or otherwise not serviceable. Look for boats that had the same vintage/brand/style of engine so the controls are compatible. Make sure floor is SOLID, and you know what a shot transom looks and feels like, so don't get one like that again.

That one has all controls and stuff intact it seems, I just do not like the missing seat, always makes me wonder what happened, like the floor is soft there so can't sit there, etc.

Re: what to look for

I think im gonna look at it tonight. I believe the wiring is there from what they said and the steering is intact. I would need my controls from my boat wouldnt i? The seat kinda worried me but i wont know until i get there. Im gonna take new seats from mine and install them if i get it. Pretty much what i know about the transoms is to knock on them with something solid and see if they sound solid or hollow.

So the boat in the ad above is solid all gauges and wiring there. But the holes in transom are different than how my motor mounts. Can i seal them and drill new holes and be ok?
