I am upgrading my current ski (kidder redline) approx 16 years old, for either a 2012 rader strada or vice.

1st question i ski 90% open water 10% course, looking to increase course, do i need to pay all the extr*****$$ on strada?
2nd question im 5'10" 195 lbs. 67" or 68" ski? my weight suggests 68" but have heard that they ski quite long?,which would suggest 67"?:confused.

any info would be appreciated.

Dusky.

New skis turn so well, I would tend to go the longer size Vice, unless you are running 36 mph short line.

I have a 67 Connely double binding. I am 170 lbs 5'9 and it seems to fit me perfectly.

Re: what size ski for me?

The last 5 skis I've purchased in the past 15 years have been new factory blem (cosmetic defect that doesn't effect performance), demo models, or used. I'm perfectly happy using 1-2 year old technology and paying 1/3 to 1/2 the price.

If you know what you are looking for, check out ski-it-again.com
Or close-outs or non-current models from wileyski.com or h20proshop.com are great resources.
You may need to buy some new bindings, but there are a ton of blank skis out there.

Good luck!
