I have a 1988 35 hp merc on a 15 ft fiberglass boat. I'm looking to buy a new prop, but I don't know what size, and pitch I need.
I would like to increase my top end speed.
My current prop is worn down and marked with with a p75n stamped on it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks Ken

Re: What size prop?

In order to save unnecessary wear and tear on your motor and have it run at its most efficient RPM you need to prop it to run at the manufacturer's recommended WOT RPMs. To do this you need to know what RPMs its running at WOT now and what size prop that is. If no one recognizes those numbers, you can take it to your local prop shop and have it measured.
