Re: what size outboard

Size, in terms of physical dimension & weight, or hp?

Your boat would do good with a 15-25 hp motor. Depending on what your use is and how loaded you are. It's a fairly narrow beam, so i'd say go with a 20, assuming your boat is rated to handle 20 hp - does it have a coast guard decal that states the maximum hp?

if you run with 2 friends, gear, dog etc.. go with 20-25..

if it's you and wife, you and a dog.. you and gear.. a 15 is adequate and a 20 would get you ripping around a lake for sure

i have a 14 ft semi v boat 54 inchs at widest point, what size engine would be best. ty danny

in terms of physical size.. if you have a 15" transom.. go with a short shaft, if it's 20" go with a long shaft.
