How do I find what size of bearing buddy I need for my trailer as well as bearing and seal size? The 2 bearing buddies on this trailer got lost before I could replace them but I dont see any markings. I could measure the diameter with my caliper but I wonder if there is a better way. I can probably just look at the bearing and seals I have now to find the sizes but I rather buy the parts then make the change.

Re: What size of bearing buddy

All you need to know about bearings is the spindle size. The spindle will have 1-1/16 inner and outer bearings if it is a 2000# axle. Any bearing house, WalMart, Lowes, Farm Store in town will have them and it will be indicated on the package. If you have a 3500# axle, the outer bearing will be 1-1/16 and the inner will be 1-3/8. Again, the package will indicate the size. Measure the inner diameter of the hub where the Buddy will sit. These are an interference fit so the Buddy needs to have a slightly larger OD thand the hub ID.
