Old bolt decided to snap today from normal use.

This is for a Mercruiser 140 on the throttle cable where the cable anchor hold it to the side of the manifold right before it gets to the carb.

Old bolt is nowhere to be found other than the part that remains in the threads.

I would suspect it is 1/4” -20. A couple of ways to confirm

look up your serial in a parts site like https://www.mercruiserparts.com/
bolt size is usually listed.

measure the diameter of hole or stub of thread it will either be a 1/4”x20, 5/16” or 3/8” coarse thread
