When I check my compression with a guage what should I expect (in PSI) from my 1997 merc 250 EFI outboards ?

compare them all to each other if there within 10% or so of each other your probobly good, if any of them is out more then that then a little further investigation might be in need.

even and close to each other is WAY more important than how high they are. usually NOT ALWAYS, you can see a merc v6 with around 120. i have never tested a 250 efi though. just as long as they re all the same, or at least within 10% of each other
