hi to all.......first time boat owner,im a proud new owner of a 1982 carver santa cruz 2667, 260 mercruiser..WOT 4200-4800,,,5400lbs.....engine repowered last year. out drive i believe is an ALPHA ONE, correct me if i am wrong about the out drive. i just took the boat outta the water today (salt water) and i am in need of a new prop. 15 3/4 x 16p is what i got from carver yacht. what manufacturer would work best with my boat......

You might want to try a merc #48-16440-16, this is a 16x16 wide blade prop that works very well with a heavy boat , it will give a good hole shot and gives stern lift, adding some extra cup makes it even better.

i never got to run it wide open, i just bought the boat in july...the prop was already bad. i waited for this day once the boat was pulled out to buy a new prop...i keep my RPM's at 2000..i got bad cavitation @ 2400 RPM so i kept it at 2000 to stay safe....engine runs strong.....the prop has a very bad blade on it...the blade was eaten away cause of the inproper ground...
