I have my serial number and manual down at the boat. Wondering if someone could save me a trip.

Looking to get new NGK plugs for my 1988 5.7L v8 mercruiser alpha 1. Can anyone tell me which ones I want and what the gap should be?

...or do I really need the serial number?

Much appreciated

There should be a sticker on the valve cover on the engine with all the specs for the engine. This will tell you what type of plugs to use and gap. It will also give an idle timing spec.

I'm gonna guess it need AC DELCO MR43LT Plugs and the gap is .035"

Yep, and 350's love'em..R43T will work too, but the plug body might rust a touch (so what..30 years in salt on my 350..no prob..WD and go..change when needed)
