What part is this?? Please help!

I have a 1995 Evinrude 200hp outboard.. This part started peeing water out yesterday when I fired the motor up.. You can see the water peeing out in the pic. Can anybody figure out what part this is from the pic attached? Thanks!

That part is a water control valve.------When throttle is opened up extra cooling water is circulated in the motor.------Probably needs a new seal or O-ring.

assume I only need to replace the seal/O ring without having to replace the entire part?

Probably.
Still it is a good idea to check your cooling system. That gasket may have blown because of over pressure which may have been caused by an obstruction in the cooling system. So while you change it, blow some water through the system just to make sure everything is as it should be

You're correct sir. I was old it was a 95 when I purchased the boat, but the last shop that did some work told me it's a 1995 but it's also been kinda pieced together with other years parts.. If you get what I'm saying . Lol
