what oil for a Volvo in Houston

I've got a 2002 Volvo Penta 5.0 GL in Houston. The engine cap says 30W synthetic oil.

What do you guys recommend and why. I'll definitely use synthetic, but any brand preferences and should I use 30W or something else?

Also do you know whether the outdrive should be synthetic? Any brands preferred?

My old boat had a mercruiser and I know there is the mercruiser fluids. Does volvo have the equivalent?

30W Synthetic is fine, your owners' manual will give you more detail in what they reccomend.

The drive uses Volvo GL-5 synthetic.
