This piston was made in Argentina and is marked "Persan" and "582" and "S" on the inside. It's also stamped HD on the inside. The top of the piston is marked L7,.015,89.175+0.100. The box says "Argentina", 0.015, c5822042. This may not be the original box.

Doing an internet search, this may be the equivalent of a Mercury Part Number 821896A3 0.015 oversize piston.

I'd like to know for sure what it is.

Thanks!

That is a Persan piston made in Argentina, it is also sold under the ProMarine and RedRhino name. It is a very good piston and BRP are using them as a supplier for their motors. Lay a original piston next to this one and all the ports and skirt ports should match if not its wrong...

Ok. Some progress. Markings would indicate:

Red Rhino ME-622 Mercury Cast Pistons 3/4 CYL Big Bore .015, Bottom Guided

What would be the OEM part number equivalent?

I can't find anything on the piston or box that matches a pro marine part number.
