I'm trying to figure out what kind of knots are used to tie rope to an anchor. Also what kind of knot would be used to put a loop at the end of a rope for easy the easy tiedown method

use an anchor bend for the anchor and a bowline for making loops......google the names of the knots and you can find out how to tie them...good luck

Anchor should be on a Chain. so the metal does not cut the rope. It also keeps the anchor set right on the bottom to prevent draging. Get a set up at a good marine supply store. If possiable have the rope spliced to the chain with an eyelet., 2nd question have a loop spliced in the line at the end

I usually wrap the end of the rope around an anchor shackle and then run about 6" to a foot up thr rope and have it spliced in .As far as an easy tie down rope, take the end and double it over until the loop is twice the size you need. The tie the doubled part in a knot threading the loop through the hole and pull.Charlie

Neil, The end of the anchor should have an eye splice with a galvanized or SS thimble in it. The anchor is attached to the thimble with a shackle. If you google "eyesplice" you will see how to tie it. It is really easy to learn to do.

Bowline is a quick knot that won't slip. Once you learn how to tie it, you can do it in about 2 seconds flat. Additionally, it's easy to break free (remove from the line) when you are through with it; even in nylon line. My knot of choice.
