My son-in-law called me to say his Sister gave him her boat. As he describes it, it's an I/O with a 2 cycle engine. So I ask what color the out drive is, reply was black. I ask if it is an inline engine 4 or 6 cylinder? Reply was, inline 4, standing up like an outboard. I said HUH? Never seen such an animal.

So, my question is, What breed of I/O does he have ? Guess I need to go see this thing :)

Sounds like a Force L-drive to me...

Rodney Dangerfield gets more respect than the infamous L-drive :D

That'll be a good candidate for parting out to ebay/craigslist and getting a package of new blades for your sawzall (for the hull)!

Ayuh,.... His sister must really Hate 'im,....

the dreaded L-drive was only built a couple of years, 'n there's No parts for 'em,...

Hopefully, sellin' the drive parts covers the cost of junkin' the hull at a landfill,...

Or, cut it up into leeetle pieces and throw them in the garbage can each week!

Shouldn't take more than a few months to get rid of it!;)

It's probably a Bayliner then, not sure of any other boats they were used with.
