What kind of extension cord do I need for my battery setup?

Hey guys. Simple question. I'm running 2 group 31 batteries on a A/B switch. I have a 2 banks 20amp charger with leads attached to each battery. My marina offers 30amp electrical outlet dock boxes with the 3 prong twist lock. So what kind of cordage do I need? Will a 20amp heavy duty extension cord with an adapter from 125 to twist lock? Let me know what you think. Trying to keep this affordable.

A 20 Amp battery charger is only going to be pulling 3 or 4 amps off of 110V so any size extension cord would work if all you were powering is the battery charger.

If the charger is actually 20 Amps per bank, you would double these numbers.

Cool so any extension cord and a simple twist lock to 125 adapter eh? Of course the guy at west marine tried to sell me a 30 amp cord with a 90 dollar bobtail. Thanks fo your help!

If they have 30 amp, they probably also have a 110v outlet that requires no adapter (you obviously haven't priced one). That's the simple and inexpensive way ... ;)
