what is up with Lake Erie

It seems everytime i fish Lake Erie it is getting worse and worse. Know there is a dead Zone in the Lake which appears to be a good 1/3 of the lake devoid of all life. The gobbies are making havoc what do you think guys and what have you read. It seems that the only good pop of walleye is in the Ohio basin

Milo..Rattlesnake is popping with the eyes right now...limiting out in less than three hours...saw three nice 29" yesterday a friend brought back yesterday..your right though the pickings are getting slim and less...

I know what you mean, it's been getting tough out there the past couple years. Early this spring we had limit or near every trip. This summer season has been a different story though, we've found the best luck in the shallow (15'-18')battling the weeds. Seems as the fish are pretty scattered, everybody I talk to has about the story, scattered? I've heard rumors of bad hatches the past couple years, they are now thinking of lowering the limit to 4 a person, which most people are not reaching now? I'm still looking forward to fall fishing out there though!

smallmouth has really slowed down out of bflo too.<br />water temp was around 70, think that has something<br />to do with it.
