I do believe it is the earlier model of the Ejection Seat!!!!

Yep! That seat supposedly keeps your butt from getting bruised and saves your kidneys when you are running the boat in rough water like a salmon swimming upriver and jumping dams. Cheaper and easier to simply slow down.

I wonder how much it really helps on a small 16' boat, that is most likely to experience 1' rough chop at 25 mph.

Looks like someone tried to use an isolater from an over the road truck to smooth out the ride. Good idea.
