What is the pitch and diameter of this prop?

I have a 1897 Evinrude XP150 and the only identifying writing on the prop is 600 348 TC. There is no brand make on it either. I was wondering if anyone know anything about this prop. It is a three blade stainless steel. Thanks!

Did you look under the prop nut?

No, I didn't. Never thought of that. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Re: What is the pitch and diameter of this prop?

I checked on the forums here and found that my motor should be running at a max recommended RPM of 5800. It only runs 4400, but it seems to me that there is not enough travel in the throttle arm. Motor doesn't seem to be laboring and the hole shot is pretty darned good. Boats I've owned in the past have had about 30 degrees more travel that this controller allows. Is there a limiting device that I may not be aware that the previous owner might have used? There is a knob that is on the controller that is just below the ignition key that I have no idea what it is for. I turned it, but didn't notice anything different going on.

To get the best info on your throttle setup you'll need to post in the Evinrude/Johnson forum.
You may be able to look at the carb throttle linkage. With the motor off in forward advance the throttle and see if you can see the
carbs opening or moving completely through its apparent range.
On a 150 I doubt you can see the carb throats but you may be able to see the linkage move.
You can get more informed help on the E/J forum.
To get back to your prop question If you get us the info requested in "read this first" at the top of the prop forum we may be able to help eliminate other sources of your rpm problem.

Re: What is the pitch and diameter of this prop?

I removed the air intake from the engine and at WOT, the butterflies in the carb throats were only opened about 60% of the way. I adjusted the throttle linkage so that they were wide open with the throttle lever at WOT. Lake tested the boat and got 5600 rpm. I think that's close enough to the 5800 max that I don't have to worry about replacing the prop. I will follow up on the proper forums. Thanks for all of your help.
