Is it ok to use xd100 in a evinrude 225hp ficht ram motor or should I use something else? New boater and see/hear lots of opinions on this topic, I'm a little confused. Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks.

yes, XD100 is the very best you can use in a ficht . its incorporates everything what the direct injected evinrude needs and features the possibility of ultra low oil supply you can set an ETEC for . since its very expensive at least in europe i used XD50 which is also a special brand for the direct injected evinrudes .

use XD50 or XD100 , XD100 is superior but not fully needed on a ficht.

i would just drain the rest of the oil and fill up with new XD50 or XD100. as long the engine runs fine do not decarb and , especially on a ficht, do not screw on it, just run. the XD50 and XD100 has a carb guard inside. look at the exhaust hub - when sooted up it should be shiny after few operating hours.

of course never ever come up with the idea to premix the oil with fuel, its on a direct injected evinrude not even in emergency an option.
