I am in a wheelchair and need a tri toon for pulling a wakeboard. I seen a toon one time that was not round and and it had a tower for pulling? could anybody help me pin down that brand?

lol, i don't think there is a "best" pontoon for that particular activity. Pontoons don't create much of a wake. Find a deckboat if you need the pontoon layout while keeping the watersports performance.

This is kinda like asking what ATV would be the best at motorcycle racing.

Not trying to be rude, as Haul stated, to wake board, you need wake, and pontoons don't put out much in terms of a wake.

First, ya need to find out what the gate dimensions are; then ya can determine if your wheel chair will "get in." Is front or side entry preferred? Then ya can whittle down the choices.

Most pontoons have an option for a "ski tower", but ya really, really need to get the dealer to commit if it will stand the stress. Believe it or not some are mainly for show as they easily pull out. See how it is attached to the deck.

As others have stated, you won't necessarily get the wake-board wake from a pontoon, but most should be able to pull one.

Most tubes are round, some are U-shaped, and one is hexagonal. Not sure if shape will affect the wake that much between them.

a true wakeboard tower on a pontoon is an absolute waste. Towers make very little difference to a beginner/intermediate wakeboarder. Yes they make it SLIGHTLY easier to get out of the water, but that's about it. The big thing is they help an advanced wakeboarder get more pop off the wake. Pontoons don't exactly have much wake to pop off of, and advanced wakeboarders aren't going to be caught dead behind a pontoon anyway.

So yes, any pontoon that can get to 20 mph with a couple people on board will pull a wakeboarder, no need for a tower or tri-tube.
