What is recommended prop for 96 Evinrude 90HP

Anyone know what is manufactures recommended prop size for 1996 V4 90HP. I have a 14 inch but when I look up prop options it lists a 13 inch,

It depends on the size of the boat and the load in it.

Thanks. I know I sound like a dummy and I am new at boating. It is a 19 foot alum rough neck . I mostly just troll and never use full rpm

columne,The correct prop selection for your engine and boat is the one that will allow the engine to attain the recommended wide open throttle rpm range.On your engine that is somewhere between 5500-5800 rpm.Not knowing the weight of your boat rigged out ,I'd guess between a 15" and a 17" pitch prop.As propped ,I don't recommend reving higher than 6000.

I think youre looking at the first number which is diameter. While its important, we usually look at pitch first.<br /><br />They made a couple of 90 hp's in 96 so it'd help if we knew the model number. If its the crossflow you want to be around 5800 with an average load. The 60 degree V4 likes 6000 or so.

Thanks for the reply. How can I tell if it is a crossflow model. It is a OCEAN PRO . My title says it is a 1997 model and made in 1996. The 7th digit is hard to make out could be a V or a U. The model number is E90SLEVA or E90SLEUA. Thanks

It's a "U" "EU"=1997

Its a 60 degree V4 looper. Great motor.
