Assuming your actual model (you didn't say, and year is irrelevant) is MFS30B. The thermostat has a start-to-open temperature of 60C. That's about 140F. If you use an IR thermometer, you will see different temperatures at different locations. Expect the highest to be somewhere around 150F. If you see readings up at 180 or higher, you are overheating.
