What is Mercury grease (not Quicksilver)?

In the Gander Mountain I found "Universal Joint and Gimbal Bearing Grease" by MERCURY, black color 14 Oz cartridge, with a red stripe, $7.99. They also cary the 2-4-C in the tubes, same brand.

Is this an equivalent of the Quicksilver grease recommended in the manual? or this is a cheaper (lower quality) brand?

Same exact thing inside the tubes. Quicksilver = Mercury = Mercruiser

They are the same, It mainly for marketing purposes between the two name brands.

You can use either one of them safely.
