I give up, what is this?

It's mounted in the engine compartment transom.
It has 4 wires, red, green,black and white. Too buried for me to read the lable. It's about 4"x2.5"x2".

Don't know for sure but it looks like an alarm or sensor of some sort. I can read that it was "Made in USA".

Yup, that's why I was hoping someone had one just like it..
I too was thinking of a fume sniffer, but, I dont know where the other ends of the wires go. They dissapear into my bilge tunnel. I also have not found an alarm buzzer, idiot light or ?? anywhere.

Use the zoom feature on your picture processing software. The embossed lettering should become readable. It does appear to be a gas fume or carbon monoxide detector as the slots are open on the lower left side. The three wires would allow automatic or manual operation of the bilge blowers.
