Please disregard the last posts by me. my computer decided to do its thing all on its own. I am working on my 1959 johnson 40 hp. what is the item on the left side of the powerhead (veiwed from the rear of the engine? it has a vacumm line from the carb going into the bottom of it. It has 2 wires on one terminal on the center and one wire on the side. Would this be a kill switch? Does it have to be wired to ground thru a switch? Hope someone can help Thanks in advance

Relax and calm down rocky.<br /><br />It cuts out one set of points to slow the engine down.<br /><br />DHP

thanks mod2 i dont know what happened. things started flashing on the screen while i was typing and that was the result
