This is all the info I can find on the engine, (don't know if I'm looking in all the right places) GM 5.7L SGI, which is on the port side aft of the engine. It has a Velvet drive 1:1. This inboard motor is in a 1991 GW Invader, Rivera 220 Sport Gold. I'm a newbie to the inboard world and have pick a really neat boat for skiing, wakeboard, kneeboarding, and tubing. As far as figuring out anything about this boat it sucks. If anybody can help it would be much APPERCIATED. Thanks in advance, Namder

If all you are asking is what engine you have... then you answered your own question. A 5.7 liter engine is a Chevy 350.

If you are asking if this boat will work for what you want... then others will have to chime in. That type of question may be better answered in one of the other forums even.

Re: What inboard motor do I have?

The engine appears to be Mercruiser. See if there is a brass tag rivited to the block just above the starter where the flywheel cover attaches to the engine. It will have the Merc SN on it and model number.
It does appear the ignition system was changed from the original Thunderbolt IV to a Prestolite. Not sure why, or maybe the engine was changed and the original ignition was used. Hard to say at this point.

Thanks Don, the tag was right where you said it would be. It reads D505426 with L underneath it. So now where is the best place to find a Mercuriser manual. I'm needing WOT, HP, timing, plugs,etc... If there is any more info you could share with this cadet it would be greatly APPRECIATED!!! Thanks again, Namder

Well, it looks like you have the 5.7L Ski version MIE (Inboard) and they actually did have the points ignition system in them, even in 91.

If you Click here, you will find links to the OEM Merc service manuals. #15 is the one you want to download. It includes about everything you could want to know about your engine.
