It's a good thing we come up with other projects to keep our cabin fever in check while we wait for boating weather or even weather good enough to work on the boat. Here's a little side project that's been keeping me occupied, aside from two weeks of the flu . Pretty much over it now, it was nasty.
I fixed up my bike. I have to admit I've been riding it in precarious condition for the last couple years now, so decided to refresh it. Gave it a new set of wheels, tires, brake cables & freewheel cog, lubed & adjusted. Cost of parts about $126. When the weather is good, I ride just about every day. I bought this bike new when I was in college. It has served me very well over the years & given me a lot of enjoyment & exercise. So only 34 years old and good as new again. Not me. The bike.
1977 Raleigh Record, 1978 price was about $160.:
