Pretty cool. I have never seen an implosion like that. There was one in my area recently, but was not able to get down to watch it...

Nice job thanks for sharing

the AP (assoc press) may want your pics (they pay $$$$)
but you have to hurry as 5 day old news might as well be 1000 years ago...they are always in a hurry!

Amazing sight. Got to see some old condemned apartment high rises imploded in 1980 in Liverpool England from as close as you could get. I had a house being built on a subdivision about a half mile away so was able to get as close as anyone could. It was an incredible sight to see as well with the exception of the huge cloud of dust that came shooting at us all about 20 seconds after the blasting.
Thanks for posting.

Hey why didn't you wave to me LOL!!!

I was on the North side of the bridge on the VT side. My friend owns that point just before the marina.

I arrived at my friend's home at about 7:45 and we had a nice view of the bridge..... then the snow came..... a few minutes before the detonation the fog rolled in THICK!!

We saw nothing but a few orange flashes....... then about 40 minutes later the fog lifted and we saw the aftermath.

Here are my before during and after shots.....

I am jealous you got some great shots. The poor people who were accross the lake on the NY side Port Henry saw nothing.

Hey it was a great day!

WCAX has a longer view of the bridge than the WPTZ and also in slow motion.

I was able to watch as they imploded an old Domino's Sugar plant across the river fromn Philadelphia from my boat once....that was about 12 yrs ago or so.. pretty cool to watch...they kept all of the boats back about a half mile from it
