What goes here?

The motor is a 1985 Evinrude 115 VRO. I was wondering if anybody could identify what goes in the bracket just below the starter solenoid. I downloaded the full 750 page manual and have read it front to back and still can't find anything. It appears to hold something that would be cylinder shaped. Any thoughts would be most appreciated!

I believe that is where the factory starter solenoid went. The one on there does not look to be an original solenoid.

Well that would certainly make sense. I was given the motor and have no basis for comparison. I have been racking my brain on this one.
