I have found an outboard engine, that was abandoned, and tied off to our tugboat. We were going to throw it away, but I took it home to go through it just for kicks. I have freed it up, but in the process, broke the cracked the lower bolt hole of the cast aluminum head. Someone had neglected it and the pistons were slightly rusted which locked it up. Anyway, I am trying to get a new head if it's not to much and continue to see if that was it or there are other things wrong, which I'm sure there is.
The engine is missing the serial number model number plate. How can I ell what it is, who makes it and model number. I think it may be a Nissan or Tahatsu. On the flywheel the is a Mitsubishi symbol, the diamonds in a triangle pattern trademark.
