what drive do I have?

Ok, so this is probably a dumb qestion. Have been looking but just can not find the right place to go. My drive is an early to mid 70's. It is on a 1976 but is off of an older boat. Anyone know or be able to direct me to the righ place to identify what ddrive it is?

Ser.# off of the side of the drive is C 2615612 and it is a mercruiser from a 165hp cyl.

That would be an MC-1 drive my serial is 2566358 around 1972 +/- I have a 165 hp straight 6 the drive is a 1.65:1 ratio for that engine. Is the engine in your boat the same as the boat the drive came from?

Thanks again for the information.

The drive came off of an older boat, the boat it is on is newer. Both 18' boats, both with the 165hp 6cyl merc.

Ayuh,.......

With the exception of the change in spline counts on a few shafts,.....
All of those drives are essentially the Same......
